India

World Horizons has teamed up with the Visakha Society for Prevent of Cruelty to Animals, to offer our students the opportunity to help with abandoned and abused animals, and also experience a totally different culture.

We will travel to Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh located on the Bay of Bengal on the east coast of India. There we will assist the staff of the Visakha SPCA to help care for abandoned and abused dogs and cats as well as cows, monkeys, parrots and other animals at the sanctuary.

Students will have the opportunity to travel and see many sights for a few days prior to starting their volunteer work, on weekends and then again for a few days at the end of the volunteer service.

Check out the VSPCA web site at www.visakhaspca.org.

"...our daughter's trip with World Horizons was richly rewarding. As parents, we felt she and her fellow travelers got safely settled in the country, and were well supervised and cared for. We especially appreciated World Horizons' unsolicited notices to us about significant milestones, such as our daughter's safe arrival at her destination. We would highly recommend World Horizons to anyone." -- Deborah Benjamin, Massachusetts
